Screenwriter Kam Hing Lee may be responsible for many future classics, including The God of Cookery , The Return of Cheat Cheat and The Twins of the Moon , but there was one film that he never got to write: a proposal for a remake of Mr. Vampire that was never made. Instead, it went to his brother, Kam Fai Lee, who was a great fan of the film and harboured dreams of directing it himself.
