Folders of the Wii filesystem can be read/written using a standard file explorer (Nautilus is known to be a good and free one). After the directory tree is saved on the SD card, you should follow the steps described in the guide above (Wad Manager, Web browser, etc...). It depends on your hardware. If you have a Micro Wave reducer, then you should mount the SD card in the existing Micro Wave's SDXC slot. If not, then you should make sure you have your SD card correctly installed in the SDXC slot of your Wiimote and you should be mounting it properly.
But if you are softmodding your Wiimote while loading ROMs, or hacking other stuff, then you will need a different procedure.
